Custom Web Sites

Low overhead and lots of skill allow us to design and create great custom web sites for a fraction of the cost of others. Our web sites are designed to catch the eye of the visitor and keep him or her interested. We believe that web sites should be easy to navigate, and the information should be clear. It helps if the site is pretty, too.

We also believe that you, the owner of the web site, should have easy access to the information on the site to be able to update it when you need to update it. It can cost hundreds to thousands of dollars a year to have a web designer maintain the information on the site that changes often. We think that's waist of money, when easy-to-use software is available to help you. Our sites do include dynamic components where applicable, just for that reason.

The following is a short list of some of the sites we've designed:

Anonymous 4

We've been working on the site of the amazing a cappella singing group, Anonymous 4 site for 10 years. We haven't updated the look in a while because, sadly, the members of the group are moving on to new projects (once they stop having hit CD's the site will fade away). It's a complex site, but well organized and easy to navigate. The Concert schedule is an example of a dynamic component. We use software that we wrote in house to keep the schedule current.

Hollowbrook Riding Academy

Hollowbrook Riding Academy needed a site that they could update themselves, completely. We built them a simple site, then taught them how to change the site, using simple tools we found on the Net. It looks different than it did when we first put it up years ago, but, again, it's easy to navigate and an inviting site.

The Dreaming Goddess

The Dreaming Goddess had a complex site that was hard to navigate. They wanted a simpler site, but wanted to add to the functionality of the e-commerce software they were using. We redesigned the site to exact specifications and added the functionality they wanted.

Island Image

Island image needed a new look, and they needed it fast. We worked tirelessly to design a new look for their site, and to update each page. They were so pleased that Island Image, a web design firm as well as a t-shirt firm, now collaborates with J2 on Web Projects that come their way.

Recently, Island Image needed new E-commerce software. They needed that fast, too. We customized an Open Source software package for them and got them up and running in record time.

Neighborhood in the Nineties

Neighborhood in the Nineties needed a very inexpensive web site, and fast. They came to us and, because they are a non profit, we gave them a deep discount and a great site. They use our Events Calendar software to announce important meetings and they use our simple membership application to keep track of members.

theHomeVet.com

Dr. Danial Grayson decided to start a housecall veterinary service. Like anyone starting a new business, he had lots of things he had to get done. One, of course, was to have a web site up and running ASAP. Dan wanted a photo gallery and he want to be able to have a pet's picture change on his site every week.

This is his preliminary site. We'll be adding more to it as time goes on, so check it often.

Dog Run 105

Dog Run 105 is a haven for dogs in New York City. The run is maintained through donations, so a web site was in order. We built this site with many dynamic components to allow the volunteers at the dog run to maintain this site without calling upon the expensive services of a web developer. The events calender, the announcement section of the home page, the news page, the photo gallery, and all the lists of people, sponsors and links are maintained through software.

AMC-NY's Sandyhook Adventure

Appalachian Mountain Club's New York Chapter wanted a web site for their Sandy Hook Adventure project, and had wanted it for quite some time. When they came to me they needed it. The event was approaching and they needed a web site with a reservations form. We worked non-stop to get it up and going for this year's adventure, and are working with them to get a dynamic site up to be used for years to come.

ChantVillage.com

Susan Hellauer of Anonymous 4 has started a new venture - Chant Village. ChantVillage is an evolving web site which will bring people of all Chant traditions together. She needed a site that she could update herself through custom content management software. We worked with her to pin point her needs, and created custom software which allows her to update her site with ease. She's delighted with the design, and even more delighted the flexibilty the software provides.
